Currier Plastics has announced it has concluded its nationwide search for recruits. The company has appointed Raymond McKee as Director of Manufacturing, pictured above left, and Daniel DeRoller as its new Project Manager, pictured above right. McKee fills the position vacated by Steve Feaster, who will retire. McKee was selected from a long list of candidates, and chosen for his extensive experience in the plastics industry. He currently serves as chairperson of the Injection Molding Division Board of Directors of Society of Plastics Engineers. Knowledgeable in the successful manufacture of plastics closures for the beverage and food industries, McKee has specific strengths in understanding food safety systems. His experience in AIB, SQF and ISO 9001 certifications will be helpful as Currier Plastics moves forward with updating policies and shaping plant systems as we go forward with ISO 13485:2016 certification. “Currier Plastics has been on my radar for quite a long time. I am impressed with the commitment to education and the consistent investment into new equipment. This type of outreach and technology investment is exactly the type of work I can feel passionate about and would bring the value of my experience to the company,” said McKee. John Currier, president of Currier Plastics, says, “The Currier family is very pleased to welcome Ray to the team and we look forward to his direction and influence. The teams that interviewed Ray gave him high marks for approachability, communication and technical expertise and skill.” A New Project Manager Currier Plastics has also added Daniel DeRoller to the team as Project Manager. DeRoller was hand-picked for the position due to the relationship he established as a sales & project engineer at one Currier Plastics’ key vendors, which designed and built domestic and offshore tooling. DeRoller has over 20 years experience in the plastics industry. He joins Currier as a seasoned program manager with experience in part design, mold design, molding processes and quality documentation procedures. “DeRoller brings not only a wealth of knowledge in tooling,” says Sriraj Patel, director of R&D, Currier Plastics. Dan will join the New Product Development team which is under Patel’s supervision. Ron Ringleben, vice president of business development, Currier, adds, “Dan will be responsible for managing multiple projects, which will include prototype and production tooling. He is an excellent addition to the team and will provide our existing customers as well as new markets the precise planning, organizing resources, weekly communications and predicable execution of new projects.” Ringleben adds, “We are on the path to having our ISO 13485:2016 certification and will need focused and experienced team members that understand the requirements and responsibilities of the markets we are pursuing.” Photo: (L) Raymond McKee (R) Daniel DeRoller, new executives at Currier Plastics
